We have created a very short video, which illustrates the changes in the territory of Russia over the period of 300 years. To be frank, many facts were truly surprising for us!
During this time, Russia has managed to transform into the Russian Empire (1721), then – into the USSR (1922) and then back into Russia (1991).
Certain territories were added to Russia or were lost by it as a result of military operations; other territories were added or lost as a result of other historical processes.
